There seems to be a tendency for Instagram’s mobile app to change around quite a bit, but the web version has remained the same for quite some time.
You can manually check by following the steps below:
- Start by going to Instagram.com in your preferred web browser.
- Choose “Settings” by clicking on your profile’s icon and selecting the third option.
- In the left side column, you will find “Privacy and Security” as the seventh option. Click it.
- Upon scrolling through the settings, the 7th menu will read “Account Data”. Click “View Account Data”.
- Under “Connections” you should see “Current Follow Requests”. Click “View All” to view them all.
- From here, you will see a simple text list which will show the names of the accounts you have selected. There’s no link to any account, or any way to cancel any account.

As soon as you receive a follow request from a new follower, it’s easy to mistakenly delete it.
Since the “Confirm” button is right next to the “Delete” button, it’s very easy to accidentally click on the wrong one.
